How I became a password cracker.

How I became a password cracker.

No, not I.
It was Nate Anderson.
He wrote a post on 25 March 2013.

Here is part of it.
At the beginning of a sunny Monday morning earlier this month, I had never cracked a password. By the end of the day, I had cracked 8,000. So, make sure you have a good password.

Can you still get Windows 7? Do they push Windows 8?

Most retailers will have Windows 8 on new Desktop and Laptop computers. With tablets you can choose either Android or Apple.
Here are some interesting remarks for PC World.
Pay a visit to Best Buy, as we did, and you’ll find that if you hope to stick with Windows 7, you may be in for a rude awakening. “We don’t carry Windows 7 anymore. It was phased out last year,” a blue-shirted salesperson told us at a Dedham, Massachusetts, store.
That may be true at the Best Buy we visited, but when it comes to the availability of Windows 7 PCs, you still have options. You just need to know where to look…

How to get a new PC that runs Windows 7, not Windows 8
In the newspaper USA Today a similar idea was expressed a few months back.

But Windows 8 is not an inevitable part of your next computer. Hewlett-Packard and Dell, for example, not only continue to sell machines with Windows 7 preinstalled but prominently list that option on their sites; so does Best Buy. (Acer and Amazon, meanwhile, leave it to you to search individual listings.)

So you can have the older OS if you want.  Just have to ask for it  by name.
